We at HorseBreedsInfo.com are pleased to present you with a Horse Rescue Award for excellence in helping horses in need. We realize that, more than any other shelter animals, horses are one of the biggest undertakings and require the most dedication in order to properly care for them. Because of that, we look for the best rescues that put in that extra effort and prove to be worth praise– the Enid SPCA is absolutely an organization we place among those that need recognition.

A Joyful Reunion
You may have read about the "Dumpster Dogs" last year. They were front page news and a story that Enid rarely sees. We still have a page dedicated to these dogs, under our Rescue Puppies Tab, with their story. We met up at the Enid SPCA to get these guys together again and hear their new stories. We heard "tails" of dog parks, walks, a cat person now a dog lover too, special beds/chairs, getting full run of the house, sitting on the counter while mom puts on her make-up and lots of lap time. These dogs definitely have a new life and are thriving. Pictured here are three of the dogs, showing remarkable progress and this story has a wonderful "Happy Tail" ending.
Good nutrition leads to a healthier life for our companion animals and we now carry the Freshpet food products in a special refrigerator case in Angie's Pet Plaza.http://freshpet.com/

We love to meet people, so please stop by our booth as you come into the market.
Enid SPCA Receives $10,000 Grant from PetSmart® Charities for our Spay and Neuter Program
We are very excited to announce the Enid SPCA received a 10,000 grant from PetSmart Charities to increase its number of spay/neuter operations. We will be starting SNIP, Enid’s only low cost spay/neuter clinic. SNIP stands for Spay Neuter Immunize Pets and will be for families with a total income under $40,000 per year.
Enid has a pet overpopulation problem that can be greatly improved with responsible pet ownership. People will often ask if it is safe to spay/neuter their pet. Spaying and neutering your pet reduces their risk for ovarian, uterine or breast cancer in females and prostate or testicular cancer in males.
The ESPCA is excited about the opportunity we have to make a difference in the lives of so many families and pets in our community as well as lowering the euthanasias due to pet overpopulation. Look soon for the official kick off of SNIP by checking our website at www.enidspca.org or by contacting our office.
