Cinderella was starving and had no body hair to speak of. She was in the worst condition you can be in before it's just too late. Flea-bitten and severely malnourished, her skin was bright red and sores covered her body.
These photos show her low body weight and poor skin condition. Weighing in at 33.1 pounds, she is nearly half of what she should weigh. She is being fed small amounts of a bland, easily digestible food on an hourly basis. When she begins to put on a little weight, she can begin to eat richer foods.
Week 2
Slowly but surely, Miss Cinderella is gaining weight! Three pounds in the first week, and counting. After several medicated baths and antibiotics, her skin is beginning to heal- we can even see some spots of color emerging on her ears!
