Camille

 Week 1

Camille's incoming condition was poor. Looking at her eyes, our veterinarian suspects that Camille had contracted adenovirus. Adenovirus can cause "blue eye"- the eye is cloudy and blue, and blood begins to collect around the eye as well. This photo shows the blue in her eye, and the one below shows the blood. When she came in to us, her eyesight was failing- and fast.
What's truly sad about Camille's condition is that adenovirus is one of the basic vaccines that veterinarians recommend dogs receive annually (with boosters as puppies). A simple trip to the veterinarian for routine boosters would have prevented Camille's condition. She was immediately started on antibiotics to help clear her eyes up, and of course once she is healthy enough she will be vaccinated.

 Week 2

Look at those bright eyes! After a round of antibiotics, it looks like Camille's eyes are cleared up. She was deemed healthy enough to be spayed by our veterinarian.
