Take Your Dog/Pet to Work Day at Gungoll Jackson Law Firm
Take Your Dog to Work Day, usually the 3rd or 4th Friday in June,
is a fun and creative way to demonstrate how dogs and animals can
impact people and raises awareness about homeless animals.
The local law office Gungoll Jackson and their OKC office hosted a Take Your Dog to Work Day.They did a spin on this special day by letting all employee pets enter in the fun. While the employees at Gungoll Jackson are allowed to bring in their pets for this special day, they decided to get everyone involved, by holding a photo contest instead.
They had dogs, cats and other critters too!How fun is this??Employees could enter and vote for their favorite. They had different categories with prizes and everything. Some of the photo entries this year were adopted from the SPCA. Melodee Haworth said "they had even more entries than last year." They are a bigger firm this year and the story will make the Oklahoman newspaper.
This just shows that anyone can get involved, no matter what type of business you have; it just takes a little creative thinking. This event is celebrating its 11th year for 2009.If you need ideas, find out more information at www.takeyourdog.com.Let's all plan to get involved next year in this great community event.
